Little Darlings Nursery is a unique and special Early Years nursery, run from our own home. Our nursery is a home and workplace combined; warm and welcoming yet well-equipped, family-centred and fully compliant with safety standards.

Children come to us at the very beginning of their learning journey, so we make their development our number one priority right from the start. We follow the Department of Education's Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines to provide your child with a comprehensive pre-school education. On top of this, we lay the foundations for good citizenship and community-centered living. To help us do this, we employ only the most experienced and highly qualified staff.

Our small, hand-picked team of staff provide the attentive care you'd expect from family members combined with the professional skills needed to lay the foundations of your child's future learning. Children take part in a range of well-thought out, educational, interactive and inspiring activities on a daily basis.

Input from parents and a child's wider family is vital, so communication is key. We want parents to help shape us our nursery, in order to provide the kind of care they dream about for their child when they can't provide it themselves.

We put your child at the heart of our family.

During the Covid-19 lockdown in March 2020, our nursery provided over 1,100 hours for FREE childcare for children of NHS staff and keyworkers. We also set-up a community kitchen which, with the help of volunteers and generous donations, served over 130,000 FREE meals to NHS staff, keyworkers and people suffering from Covid-19.

This was our way to say thank you to all the NHS staff and keyworkers as the community battled against Covid-19.

Our current Ofsted rating (September 2018) is "Outstanding".

In 2023, we were awarded a 5* Food Hygiene Rating by the Food Standards Agency for the quality of our meal preparation and cooking facilities.

In 2020, we won the Dental Award for "Best National Smile Month". The judges citation for the award was:

"Little Darlings Nursery have created oral health education activities which extend across the whole curriculum and has become embedded in the culture of the nursery. Creating positive habits and behaviours in pre-school children, their families and the staff, this initiative has become an annual event which sets a benchmark for others to follow."

In 2020, we named as "Harrow's Heroes" for our free childcare for NHS staff and our community work during Covid-19.

In 2020, 2019 & 2018, we achieved a Silver in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards. In 2016, the nursery was shortlisted as a finalist in the coveted Nursery World Awards.
