With the general election on 12 December 2019, we took the opportunity to focus on democracy, one of the key values that underpins UK society.
In this article, we explain how we teach children to uphold British & Indian values of democracy, mutual respect, rule of law and individual liberty.
Our children are not just adults-in-the-making, but individuals whose needs, rights and experiences should be taken seriously. Giving them a choice on the simple things like what they would prefer to eat shows that, as adults, we take them seriously.
This can only invest them with confidence to make assertive choices as they grow and develop.
